Boules or Pitanque, is a court game traditionally enjoyed in France. Much like Bocce, the game of Boules is simple. Teams of two send out a small target ball, about the size of a ping pong ball, and the players on the opposing team play for closest to the target, each with two orange sized balls. The arrangement of teams is like horseshoes with one team member on each end of the court. Therefore the strategy of knocking out opposing members balls becomes part of the fun.
Often enjoyed with seasonal beverages and hor d’oeurves, this is a fun, social gathering game that adds an entertaining dynamic to warm evenings in the yard.
This particular course has three espalier apple trees on the west end that give some challenging obstacles. The clients, two wonderful friends, were quick to enjoy the court and have since reported many great sporting evenings.

Jason! this is beautiful. I just watched 'A Year in Provence' the other night and they were playing boules. We were just thinking about adding a court. Nice job.
